This newsletter has always had the heart to keep you informed of what God is saying to His people. Since God and His dealing with the people of America has changed from Judgment to Revival, so will this newsletter. As God has changed us from meetings to Crusades, from Warning to Revival, so must the newsletter.

I believe God is directing me to tell you about the "POWER" that God is displaying in The Power of Jesus Crusades!

In order to make this article more believable I want to point out a few things about my past. I was raised a good Baptist. To be more exact, the name on the lawn in front said "------- Christian Church". It was very close in belief to Baptist. I never knew anything about prophecy, or the power of God until December 7, 1987, when I was "filled" with the "baptism" of the Holy Spirit.

I tend to fall more to the "see it to believe it" side than does Leslie. I say this to let you know what I see is real. If it is not really happening to me I will say so. I promise to be accurate in my presenting the story. Those who have followed this ministry in the past know this.

My First "Touch" From God

God laid on my heart that a part of The Power of Jesus Crusades! was to teach people to lay hands on and believe for the power of Jesus to heal people. The problem was, I had personally experienced very little healing from my prayers (see it to believe it) to build up my faith.

One Sunday I preached on healing at the Topeka Spirit of Prophecy Church. I invited those who had seen God heal people as a result of their prayers form a line at the front of the church.

Needing my ears to be healed, I was first in line to be prayed for. My ears had recently been damaged to the point that any noise above normal speech caused pain. I was wearing ear plugs just riding in my car! Seven people prayed for me, but the "touch of God" hit me when Leslie prayed for me.

The instant Leslie’s hands touched me I hit the floor. A peace came over me I had never felt before. I was feeling very euphoric. Later I found out they have a name for it, "drunk in the Spirit". There I was laying on my back too euphoric to get up, and loving the feeling too much to resist! God was pouring His love into me. I did not want to resist. I was simply wanting to receive all God wanted to give.

After hitting the ground I said, "So this is it!"

After what seemed like ten minutes I tried to get up. No good, it wasn’t that easy! In order to get up, I was going to need to roll over on my stomach. My mind turned back to the time as a child. One Sunday while riding to church, as we drove by the local Assembly of God Church, my parents remarked, "Those are ‘Holy Rollers’."

I wondered if this is why they were called "Holy Rollers". I could not just sit straight up as a person would normally, I had to roll over and get on all fours to get up.

When I made it to my feet, with the help of others, I immediately turned and laid hands on another lady for healing—poom! Down she went. The next time I saw her she gave the church a testimony of how God healed her. Three days later my hearing was better than ever! God healed my hearing in one single "touch."

God showed me He is willing to do more in two milliseconds by a touch from Him than a fifteen minute prayer. So I have quit praying long prayers for people. Now I pray God will simply touch His people. He knows what they need better than anyone.

This anointing to see people receive a "touch" from God is more caught—than taught. The power areas of God are imparted—or caught. Like Paul blowing on people to get the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. [John 20:22]

I Caught It—Now It Was Time to Pass It On!

The next level came at the Detroit Crusade. About 350 to 400 people were in attendance the third and final night of the Crusade. It was "Power Night". We asked all the people, who were willing, to fast all day long. We normally take a dinner break from 5 to 7 pm. On "Power Night" we ask people to remain in the room from 5 to 7 pm and pray. We told them they were welcome to pray in English, but we especially wanted them to pray in tongues. Tongues brings the power of God.

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Jude 1:20

I gave a brief explanation of how to receive the "touch" from God. After praise and worship we called people forward for prayer, and it happened.

I began to feel the anointing of God stronger than ever. My hands began to tingle. It felt like an invisible glow was on them. It was as if I had a glove of energy about three inches thick on both hands. This glove was the anointing of God.

I walked over to the first person and didn’t even touch them—poom! Down they went—out for the count! I thought, "Cool! This is lots easier than praying a long prayer for someone! I like this better. I’ll just let God ‘touch’ His people—let God do the ministering for whatever they need."

I went to the next one. My hands only got about three or four inches away from them—poom! Another one bit the dust!

Cool! I like this Lord! Will you touch everyone like this?

By now the catchers were scrambling to get behind the next one—poom! Another one down—thank you Lord! You are so awesome! I approached another one—poom! Another one—poom! It was fun! The best ministry I have seen—poom another one went down! Thank you Lord!

Then I decided to stretch my faith. I wanted to see if three at a time could go down from the anointing. Nope, got to pray for each one, next—poom!—poom!—poom! Down they went!

Then something different happened. About twenty-five were on the floor—cool, Lord! Thank you for touching your people Lord!

Then I approached one man, but nothing happened. I prayed again, "Lord touch this man!" Nothing! Okay, I will move my hands closer, closer, closer. Okay, I will actually touch this one. Nothing! "Lord touch this man with your power, in Jesus name."

What is wrong Lord? Doubt and unbelief? So I went to the next one. I prayed for around seventy-five that night and only three did not get a "touch" from God. He touches whom He will.

We have to be ready to receive God in the way He wants to manifest himself, not what we think He should do.

The interesting thing about the way God operates is the next time God may touch His people differently. God refuses to be put in a box or applied with a recipe.

Dallas Crusade:

Angels, Trumpets, and Rain!

I had heard gold dust had appeared at some other revivals. The people claimed this was a "sign" from God. Frankly, I suspected it may be a lying sign or wonder. I thought, "Why would God leave gold dust on people, chairs, etc.? Doesn’t make sense?" But, seeing is believing!

We always ask that God will prevent any lying signs and wonders from coming to The Power of Jesus Crusades!—in Jesus’ name. All we want is the real thing!

From the opening moments all the ministers noticed—what hard ground we were plowing in Dallas! I had spent $9,000 advertising the Crusade and only one person showed up from the results of all that advertising! That is real hard ground. The ones who showed up were very new to life in the Spirit. We could feel it. Dallas was not like Detroit where people are Spirit oriented and hungry for more. We were picking up from the group a lot of "show me" attitude—especially when it came to personal prophecy. The hearts of the people were very sceptical. To break that scepticism we prophesied a little longer to answer the question in there heart—"show me"! We let God "show ‘em".

The first thing, after praise and worship of day one, we have a twenty minute talk explaining the basics of personal prophecy for those new to it. Then we take thirty to sixty minutes to demonstrate it, then we start receiving people in the private rooms for prophecy. In Dallas the unfamiliarity to the Spirit was so high, we talked for an hour and demonstrated prophecy for another hour and a half. Not to worry, God showed up with some very powerful, convincing prophecies. And things began to progress.

The second day the ground was still hard to plow and fairly dry, but that evening it finally broke. Our God is so good!

Some of the people attending had never even clapped their hands in praise and worship! Now they were getting free from the bondage of religion. It was a blessing to see them enjoying the freedom to praise the Lord!

The Angel

After praise and worship the evening of the second day, three of the prophets discerned an angel of God had come into the room. You would think that an angel would only come into a room where the belief was running high. The power of God is coming into the Crusades regardless of their unbelief.

It was during praise and worship in the evening. Pat Sparrow, one of the prophets, was the first to notice an angel had come into the room. Then Leslie and Ed confirmed it. Pat said it was the "Angel of the Covenant of America". He did not know what that meant. Not everyone saw the angel, only those prophets who were more Spirit sensitive. I noticed it by the effects on Leslie.

Holy Fire!

Only once before had she felt the Holy Fire hit her, and this was much stronger than before. She began to double over, grabbing her stomach as if she was having severe stomach cramps. She was struggling not to cry. She said, "The fire of God is here, it is going through me like lightning!" She could barely stand the pain! It wasn’t pain, it doesn’t hurt, but, she couldn’t explain it. She said, "Little jolts of lightning—like fire—are shooting all through me, especially down my right arm! I don’t know if I can stand it. I don’t know if God is going to kill me!" This went on for fifteen to twenty minutes!

Her face, arms and neck were red as if she was sunburned. Her hands were red with white spots all over them. She kept grabbing her stomach and bending over saying, "Lord, I don’t know if I can take it! Don’t kill me! Oh, Lord!!!"

Ed Lixey said he felt a little of it too, but not as severe. Pat said the angel of God is in the room to bring the power of God!

We called people forward for prayer and almost everyone was touched by the power of God.

Leslie was just waving her hand at people and God was knocking them to the ground with His power!

Third Day: Power Day - The Trumpet!

The third day is Power Day! Many people had fasted all day. During the normal dinner break, I asked all who care to pray, to remain behind to pray with me. After praying for two hours we begin praise and worship. This is when the most power comes to the Crusade.

It started when Leslie heard several long loud trumpet sounds. She turned to Ed Lixey, one of the prophets and said, "Do you hear?"

Ed interrupted her and said, "I hear a trumpet!"

Stephen, the praise and worship leader, also heard it. They said it was louder than the praise and worship—which is fairly loud. I saw her looking around the room.

Then Leslie said the angel is here again. I feel the Holy Fire again. She began to wince with pain and grab her abdomen. "Oh, Lord! Oh, Lord! Oh, Lord!," she was saying.

We continued to praise the Lord.

The next thing, I noticed Leslie walking around with her shoes off. She was looking down at her feet as if she had just stepped in bubble gum. I walked over and said, "Are you getting something?"

Leslie said, "Take your shoes off and walk around. There is water all over the room! The Lord’s Holy Spirit is raining in here!"

[Joel 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.]

About that time Ed walked over and said, "It is raining the water of the Holy Spirit in here! It is rain’in brother, it’s rain’in."

I took my shoes off and walked around for several minutes, but I did not find any water. It was raining in the Holy Spirit!

Then Leslie noticed a mighty rushing wind had come into the meeting. We knew the power of God had arrived. Most of the people in the room had no idea this was happening. To those less Spirit sensitive it was just wonderful praise and worship.

In Leslie’s dream God said His people are not ready to receive His power. We believe God is doing this to prepare His ministers to receive His power, then they will prepare His people to receive it.

We called the people forward for prayer. We don’t call them forward for healing. God may heal them, He may not. We just pray the Spirit of God will touch them the way He wants to.

The people came forward and God was there to meet them. Everyone who wanted a touch from God received one.

What did God do when He touched them? Anything He wanted. Each has a different story. One lady felt burning in her eyes and ears—perhaps God was healing. It was too soon to tell. Some were healed, others felt God’s love. Some simply needed to know God really touched people with His power. God does what He wants with His creation. When you are at a Crusade you can see for yourself and discover how God will touch you. You will also get a personal prophecy that will be such a blessing, and a touch from God!

Be an Overcomer!

Some people put out a fleece to hear from God, rather than knowing the heart of God. They say, "God, if you want me to go to the Crusade then..." Some of the fleeces are asking provision for this or that. I encourage you to ask for provision, but more important, know the heart of God. God wants all His children walking in His power. He is preparing an end-time army to walk in His power, His anointing, and to hear His voice, to defeat the devil in the face of tribulation. One of the ways you can know that the devil does not want you to go to a Crusade is by stumbling blocks.

Most people who overcome and make it to a Crusade have overcome tremendous difficulty. Use the right fleece to make your decision about coming. Ask yourself, "Does God want me closer to Him? Does God want me to have more faith, walk in power and victory?" Yes! Yes! Yes!

Money, transportation, days off from work never keep people away from God! Ask God to help you be an overcomer—to provide for what you have need.

God wants you to come! Just try to come and watch the resistance mount as the devil tries to keep you away! Be an overcomer!

We are to overcome the difficulties of this world! If we can’t overcome in the good times, how about the hard times?

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

This is what Jesus wants us to do—overcome the stumbling blocks of the world. Consider it good overcomer practice just getting to a Crusade!

1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Luke 8:25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

Jesus gave us the authority to do what He did. Surely we can overcome to get to a Power of Jesus Crusade!
