Example Number Two: Jo Ann's Baby
By Leslie Johnson
I n the year 2000, I had a dream about my friend Jo Ann Dollins. [She answers the phone at The Prophecy Club®.] She was pregnant at the time and close to giving birth. She is a good friend and I had been praying for a safe delivery, healthy baby, and a quick recovery. She went to the doctor on a Friday morning, July 7th. She said that the doctor says everything is looking great and that the baby is in position . The baby has turned and is in the proper position with head down. That Friday night I had a dream that she was giving birth and the baby was breach so they had to do an emergency C-section . Not only that, but I saw in my dream that the baby was a girl and she had the cord wrapped around her neck three times . I saw that if she had the child in a natural childbirth the baby would be born dead , and that she would have to have a cesarian section for the baby to live . When I awoke I began to fervently pray for the health of mom and child.
On Sunday, July 9, 2000, around midnight, Jo Ann's water broke. Her husband called me and said we are going to the hospital, Jo's water broke. They were kind enough that they were going to allow me to be in the delivery room with them. I got dressed and headed to the hospital. I watched the contractions on the monitor and for a while, when she would have a contraction the heart rate of the baby would go up and everything seemed to be progressing normal. However, around 7:00 a.m. I noticed when she had a contraction that the heart rate of the baby would go down. Knowing that something was going wrong, I went to get the nurse that had been checking on her all night. She had just left and it was time for a shift change, so I asked for another nurse to come and check Jo, expressing to her that something was going wrong. The nurse checked Jo Ann and found that the baby was breach and they immediately scurried to get her prepared for an emergency Cesarean section.
Realizing that this was my dream, I began to pray even more. After the delivery her husband, Stephen, stepped out in the hall to tell me about his beautiful daughter, Eryn. He said, " It was a good thing they did the emergency surgery when they did, because the cord was wrapped around Eryn's neck three times , and the doctor said Eryn would not have lived if Jo had tried to deliver the child in the normal fashion ."
I said, "Stephen, the Lord showed me this in a dream. I didn't want to alarm either one of you so I just prayed. That is why I asked Jo over and over again, 'Are you sure the doctor said that the baby's head was in position? Are you sure the baby is not breach?'"
He said, "Thank you, Lord for revealing the plan of the enemy so that Leslie would pray."
The skeptical person who is resistant to the power of God would doubt and could possibly say, "What does having dreams about babies have to do with War in the Middle East?" I am trying to establish the fact that Leslie hears from God-and that when she says she heard from the Lord, she has been accurate to report it.
