Police State

"The dream of creating a permanent court to try the world's most heinous crimes became a reality on Thursday (April 11), Hailed by many as a landmark human rights achievement but rejected by the United States. At a solemn ceremony at U.N. headquarters, ten countries brought the total number of nations to ratify a Rome treaty establishing the International Criminal Court to 66-six more than needed to bring the treaty into force on July 1. The new tribunal has jurisdiction only when countries are unwilling or unable to prosecute individuals for the world's most serious atrocities: genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and other gross human-rights abuses. In a rebuff to its European allies, a major force behind the court, the Bush administration rejected the entire concept of a permanent international war crimes tribunal. And it is considering withdrawing former President Bill Clinton's signature from the Rome treaty, even though Clinton did not submit to Congress for ratification, fearing U.S. soldiers abroad would be subjected to frivolous prosecutions. Republican Congressmen have introduced a smattering of retaliatory legislation, ranging from forbidding any U.S. contact with the court and punishing those ratifying the treaty to using force to free any American brought to The Hague." (1)(Reuters, Thursday, April 11, 2002, by Evelyn Leopold) We have wondered how law and order could break down to the point that guillotines are set up on the streets of America. Could the world court play a part?

A software program named Cromatica, developed by scientists at Kingston University in London, could be used to predict and prevent crime even before it occurs. This technology compares images coming in from close circuit television cameras to pre-programmed behavior patterns, and then it mathematically predicts what could possibly happen next. It then sends a signal to warn the police or security, thus preventing possible suicides and other crimes, and predicts crowd flow and congestion patterns. If we take this a step or two, or rather 10 to 20 years into the future, could this lead to a totally photographed society in which only those approved are allowed to walk freely? Are those approved only the ones who have the Mark? (2)(http://www.cordis.lu/telematics/tap_transport/research/projects/cromatica.html)

The European jet manufacturer, Airbus, will install hidden cameras in the light fixtures above the seats of the aircraft, thus allowing the crew to monitor the passengers and potential hijackers. These cameras adapt to both daylight and darkened conditions. The company feels the best plan would be to inform passengers that they are being watched by hidden cameras.

The day after 9/11 on a broadcast I said the only way to make planes safe would be to monitor every plane by ground monitored cameras in the plane, and locking the pilot in a secure cockpit that cannot be opened except from the ground. Now we see they are trying anything to make us feel safe, but it will be a false feeling of security. I think the plan may be to keep us insecure until we cry for help at any cost. The "at any cost" will mean losing our God-given freedom.

But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet,
and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them,
he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
Ezekiel 33:6
