Israel:  The Burdensome Stone

Yasser Arafat wants to portray himself as a freedom fighter, carrying an olive branch in one hand and a machine gun in the other.   Since the 9-11 attacks, Israel has not been as patient with his unwillingness to stop Palestinian attacks on Jews.  Israel has taken a far more bold position and has gone on the offense-especially after the discovery of 50 tons of weapons aboard the Karin A, a 4,000-ton freighter owned by the Palestinian Authority.  The commander was directly employed by Arafat.  Thirteen PLO personnel served as the crew.  The weapons were exported for use against Israel by Iran.  Among the weapons confiscated were 122 long-range Katyusha rockets with a range of 20 kilometers, 107 mm rockets, 120 mm long-range mortars, LAW anti-tank missiles, Sagger anti-tank missiles, mines, sniper rifles, magazines, bullets and explosives.  One other interesting factor in this case was the containers involved. According to the Arutz Sheva news service, they were packed in sea-smuggling cases designed to float just below the surface of the water.  This allows them to easily be brought ashore past tight security.  Iran is the only nation known to manufacture the sea-smuggling boxes.  The capture of the weapons prevented untold loss of life, and may have delayed the coming war in the Middle East.  It also tells us that the Arabs are planning to move to a new level of violence-from suicide bombers to war.  It definitely reveals that Arafat is planning for war, not peace.

Jpost.com reports that Arafat pays Palestinians up to $3,000 a month to stay in his hotel-style jail.  Obviously, he is only making cosmetic attempts at stopping the violence.  According to Jpost.com (January 6th posting), Sharon has elevated Arafat from "irrelevant" to Israel's most "bitter enemy."  With his mouth he says he wants peace, but the suicide bombers are now adding chemicals and pesticides to their bombs to make them more deadly and have plans to add radioactive materials.  One recent bomber not only had the usual nails and bolts, but now they had been soaked in rat poison.  Another new feature of the "intifida" you would really like if you lived in Israel is a double whammy.  The suicide bomber detonates a small bomb that kills himself and those around him.  This brings emergency personnel scrambling to the site only to have a second bomb on a timer explode, killing more people than the first.

On October 14, 2001, United Press reported that Israeli security arrested a man armed with a radiological backpack bomb who is linked to suspected terrorist Osama bin Laden.  This "backpack bomb" has a small explosive core that is encased in radioactive material.  It kills many with the explosion, but the most destructive part is its contamination of a large area with radiation.

In 1948, the United Nations recognized Israel as a nation.  In other words, on that day the world acknowledged the land belonged to the Jews. 

History tells us that there has never been a nation on the face of the earth called "Palestine."  The name has its origins back in 70 A.D. when the Romans overthrew Jerusalem, killed most of the Jews, burned the Temple and declared that the nation of Israel was destroyed.  To make sure it was extinguished, they called it Palestine.  The Romans got that name going back to the people that King David fought.  Most remember David slaying the giant Goliath.  Goliath was a Philistine. The name "Palestine" is derived from "Philistine."  Calling Israel Palestine was the ultimate attempt to completely eradicate Israel as a nation.  But the fact remains - there never was a Palestine, nor Palestinians. nor a Palestinian culture, language or nation.

Arafat is not trying to revive a nation that once lived and prospered in Israel.  He is not representing an oppressed nation as a freedom fighter.  He is a son of Ishmael trying to kill his brother.  He is fulfilling Bible prophecy to the letter.  Genesis 16:12 says,  "And he shall be a wild man; his hand shall be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren."

Today Arafat and his Muslim evildoer brothers dwell in the presence of their brother Isaac.  Arafat is controlled by Satan  and wants to kill his brother and steal his land.  As Cain killed his blessing, his brother, so also is Arafat is killing his blessing, his brother.
